Ironman Take Over Challenge Copenhagen

The World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), owners of Ironman, announced today that they have purchased YWC Copenhagen and will take over Challenge Copenhagen and Challenge Aarhus, along with a few other events. They have yet to announce how these events will transition to Ironman branding. Challenge Aarhus took place over the weekend, while Challenge Copenhagen is currently set for Aug. 18, 2013. We have experienced a very positive development on both the professional and amateur triathlon scene in Denmark, and triathlon has been booming in Denmark since the first Challenge Copenhagen in 2010.
