Uplace Pro Triathlon Team Blog: Bart Aernouts Abu Dhabi Preview
- By Triathlete Europe
- Published February 28, 2013
This week, Bart Aernouts of the Uplace Pro Triathlon Team left for the Middle East to compete in one of the biggest late winter races, the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon. Even with a win in January’s Ironman 70.3 South Africa under his belt, this race presented Bart with the interesting challenge of preparing for the unknown. Back home in Belgium for just a few days after a last-minute training camp in Lanzarote, Bart was happy to discuss his fitness, ambitions and preparation for a race with unusual distances (a 3k swim, a 200k bike ride and a 20k run) and his expectations of his first trip to the Middle East.
The Uplace Pro Triathlon Team is the most successful Belgian professional tri team. The team consists of six top Ironman triathletes: Tine Deckers, Sofie Goos, Bart Aernouts, Bert Jammaer, Axel Zeebroek and Bruno Clerbout. For more information about the Uplace Pro Triathlon Team – click here
