Running Workshops At The Triathlon Show

The Triathlon Show today announces that The Running School will be holding 60-90 minute workshops covering running technique on 1st to 3rd March at Sandown Park. Using both practical exercises and theory, Running School founder, Mike Antionades, and lead Running School coaches, will provide in-depth running technique and efficiency analysis, teaching the basics of running mechanics. As a drill-based workshop, it is appropriate for all levels of ability and ages.
The workshop will cover warm-ups, common weaknesses, drills to improve your running technique, and speed, conditioning and running drills, advice on injury prevention and strength exercises for running. By the end of the workshop participants should have a better understanding of their technique and what is needed to reach their running goals.

In addition to the Running School workshops, visitors to the Triathlon Show will be able to run in a 10k or 2k race, as well as gain lots of information from major triathlon brands. Whether the visitor is new to multi-sport racing or a veteran long-course triathlete, The Triathlon Show will provide information on everything from training plans to choosing the right kit, nutrition options to how to avoid injury and how to improve your stroke.
There is car and secure cycle parking at Sandown Park. Those arriving by train should go to Esher station where it is a ten minute walk to the venue.
The Triathlon Show will be held at Sandown Park in Esher. Pre-booked tickets cost £9 for the weekend and £12 on the door. Under 16 ’s go free and there will be free parking and a shuttle bus for those arriving by train to Esher station. Entry on Friday is free to visitors who book in advance via the website.
