SwimTrek are this year celebrating 10 glorious years of pioneering open water swimming holidays. They have some new trips and exciting things in store for 2013, having listened to guest feedback with a new Short Escape trip to Mallorca as well as week long trip to the Aeolian Islands of Sicily.
Swim the Aeolian Islands
New for Sept 2013 – Our own Italian job - 7 Days Coastal & Island
The Aeolian Islands tour offers daily swim distances longer than most of our trips and is based around a group of volcanic islands lying off Sicily’s north coast. The rugged landscape with steep cliffs, deep caverns, black sand and submarine volcanoes offer a truly unique swimming experience. Suited to experienced Swimtrekkers and those keen to do a more challenging trip.
Mallorca Short Escape
New for May/June 2013 – Remote Mallorca- 4 Days – Coastal
This trip is based within the confines of the Migjorn Marine Reserve and along the coast of the Mondrago National Park. Over the 4 days you will swim along the east coast of Mallorca, passing dramatic landscapes, sheer cliffs and the odd cave. Based in the small traditional fishing town of Cala Figuera away from the traditional tourist spots of Mallorca.
River Thames
New for August 2013 – river swimming
Also new for 2013, SwimTrek are excited to offer 2 different day trips on the Thames. Swim down the upper part of the river, currently the cleanest in living memory, with salmon, otters and kingfishers common on many stretches. Or join them for just for one day on the Thames or if you fancy seeing more of the river, why not join us for the 2 days.
