Gear Check: Rapha Long Sleeve Brevet Jersey

Rapha’s Long Sleeve Brevet Jersey combines a long sleeved jersey with bright pink high visibility gilet. This pairing is designed for long distance endurance riding and are perfect for riding between autumn and spring.

The jersey is made from an insulating Sportwool fabric that is lightweight and breathable. This packs a huge punch in terms of warmth to weight ratio and surprised us just how toasty such a thin jersey can be. The cut is fitted with a drop tail and high front making it the perfect fit on the bike. To the rear there are three large easy access pockets along with a large zip pocket for valuables. There’s also a small waterproof chest pocket ideal for a phone. The jersey is stylishly finished off with high visibility pink and white stripes.

As for the matching stretchy gilet this has a windproof front with an offset zip to avoid any irritation and features mesh panels for added breathability. Like the jersey this finished off with smart looking high visibility stripes. While the initial outlay might look steep, it’s worth remembering the quality, styling and warmth, plus the fact you’re getting two great pieces that can be worn together or separately.
