Additional Charity Slots Released For Ironman Austria

Ironman Austria is, without a doubt, one of the crown jewels in the European Ironman calendar. That helps to explain why the race sells out in minutes every year. On December 16th Ironman at 6pm CET / 5pm GMT are re-opening entries to give away 20 charity spots. At the same time, TV viewers in Austria will be able to win Faris Al-Sultan (sort of)…

Ironman Austria which has been sold out every since his year’s race day will open registration once more on December 16th at 6 PM Central European Time to give away 20 charity entries priced at 500 Euro (excl. Active). Needless to say that those entries are the hottest commodity for this race on June 30th 2013 which is headed into its 15th edition. All proceedings from these slots will be given to the Austrian “Licht ins Dunkel” charity, the largest in the country run by Austrian state TV ORF. Registrations will be possible on www.ironmanklagenfurt.com.

On a side-note IMAT 2012 winner Faris AL-Sultan has agreed to put himself up for auction on Austrian TV at the same time as mentioned above, the highest bidder will receive a Specialized Shiv Expert M2 & a training day with Faris
