Join Wattbike at the Running Show, Sandown Park on 24th and 25th November (stand K47) to learn more about the benefits of cross-training for running, especially through the dark and chilly winter days. Visitors to the show can pre-book a 15 minute one-to-one session that will give them free pedal technique analysis using Wattbike ’s unique Polar View. During the session, tips and advice will be provided on how to use the low-impact cardio work-out that cycling provides, in run training.

Toni Minichiello, coach to Olympic Champion Jessica Ennis uses Wattbike and says: “As a coach you try to put the best plan possible together and that means using the best equipment. My athletes love to hate the Wattbike whereas I just love it! It ‘s a superb piece of kit for low-impact cardiovascular work and great for recovery sessions”.

GB 800m athlete Jenny Meadows says: “Wattbike is an essential cross-training tool for cardiovascular work through the winter whilst providing great recovery during the season. The depth and quality of performance data from the Wattbike ensures that every second of every training session counts.”

Those that place an order for a Wattbike at the show will receive a one day experience of a lifetime to ride with either Pro cyclist Dean Downing or World Under-23 Traithlon Champion Non Stanford at the Wattbike Sport Science Laboratory. The day will include pedal stroke technique training, bike set-up plus a road cycling session with the pro of your choice and the opportunity to pick their brains in a question and answer session.

Pre-booking is highly recommended (click here for more) and slots need to be booked by 4pm the day before. Space may be available on the day but will be assigned on a first come first served basis if not pre-booked.

As well as having the opportunity to visit Wattbike, visitors to the show will be able to gain valuable information from other major running brands. Whether the visitor is new to running or a marathon veteran, The Running Show will provide information on training plans, choosing the right apparel, nutrition options and much, much more. For the first year ever the Running Show will be held at Sandown Park in Esher.
