RAF Brize Norton’s 33 Engineering – End to End Endurance Challenge

After a very successful event last year and raising over £25,000 for charity. RAF Brize Norton’s 33 Engineering Squadron (Formerly RAF Lyneham) are once again partaking in an Ultra Endurance event covering 1000 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End by the means of an ULTRA DUATHLON each day for a period of 12 days!
That means twelve back to back Ultra Duathlons. Each Day the aim is: Run 15 miles Cycle 62.5 miles Run 7.5miles – the boys left Scotland on September 2nd and are now just two days away from the finish – hitting Exeter last night.

There are eight ‘athletes’ taking part in the challenge Carl Lawson (survivor from last year), Matt Minter, Will Thurrell, Ian Conn, Paul Rochester, Fraser Williams, Paul Elliot and Darren Jeffrey (survivor from last year) but they are back up with a support crew of Gaz Hanna (Support Cyclist), Gaz Jenson (Support Cyclist) and the all important support team drivers Martin Jones, Paul Duke, Natalie Willis, Shawn Mason, Amy Fowler, Rob Catterall, Grovesy and Sam Pocock
