Gear Review: Aqua Sphere K180 Goggles

Aqua Sphere’s new K180s combine the style of a wide vision triathlon goggle with a typical pool racing goggle to produce a small socket racer with added vision.

Out of the packaging the K180 looks small with their almost cat-eye style shape. Once on the K180s sit well in the eyes and fit naturally. They offer a far wider field of vision than most goggles of this size yet fit close to the eye for hydrodynamic performance.

In open water this extra field of vision certainly helps to see what’s going on around you, especially in the early stages of a race when lots of other swimmers are in close proximity. Fit and sealing wasn’t an issue as this works perfectly with no pain or discomfort.

They’re available in clear or with tinted lenses and come with three easy to swap sizes of nose-bridge that allow for the perfect fit. A female version is also available to work better with the shape of women’s faces.
