2012 ITU WTS Hamburg
Not so much an Olympic marker than an Olympic warm-up, but the sprint distance ITU World Triathlon Series race in Hamburg was still an interesting indication of where a lot of athletes are ahead of London 2012 (none of the Brit Olympic squad were racing, mind you). Richard Murray outkicking Javier Gomez was a slight surprise, but Murray has been strong all year (read that race report here), while Erin Densham underlined the fact that she is the athlete to beat in 2012 with a resounding win over fellow Aussie Emma Moffatt (read that race report here). Janos Schmidt was there for the ITU to do the business with the camera (above).
