This summer the TriStar launches its first International team and to represent the UK a team of 15 athletes has been put together to form TriStar GB.  The team, which features representatives from TFN-sponsored squad and  OneTriathlonRDS, will debut at TriStar’s event at Milton Keynes on 29 July.

The Milton Keynes race will be TriStar’s first in the UK and will serve as a precursor to the Olympic triathlon, which takes place in Hyde Park in central London just 10 days later. Team TriStar GB will follow the Milton Keynes event by racing in Monaco before finishing off the season with a team time trial in Madrid.

OneTriathlon is a London based club made up of 70 athlete with 34 or those having already represented Team GB as age group athletes across the triathlon distances. TriStar111 gives them the opportunity to put their short course running with their Long Course cycling which will no doubt make them very competitive.

Key Athletes to look out for from TriStar Team GB:

Team Captain, ; as the most experienced Long course athlete  in the squad he is perfectly placed to lead from the front (where he hopes he will stay). @CERacing

The Young Upstart, Sam Village is only in his second year of Triathlon and already selected as and Age Grouper for the World Duathlon and Triathlon Champs later the year. Having grown up in the Peak District he is made for hill climbing and combined with his formidable run will no doubt threaten the podium. @samvillage

Mr Miles, Troy Squires, comes into the squad in the middle of a big season of long course racing. A truly inspirational Age Group triathlete combining a hectic work life with a jam packed race calendar he will take the 111 distance in his stride. @troymaloy

The Ladies Captain, Lil Houghton, has lead the One Triathlon club from the front for two years teaching the boys how it is done in the water and then smashing them on the bike. @lilhoughton

Miss Universe, Felicity Cole; Another second year triathlete qualified for both the duathlon and tri worlds shows just how  fantastic a talent she is. TriStar MK will play perfectly to her formidable Bike run combo and make sure she will definitely threaten the Podium. @felicitycole

Mrs Macca, Sam McClary; just showing the strength in depth One Triathlon has Sam is another formidable biker who will be placed well in T2 and threaten even more places in the run. Normal life for Sam consists of fitting a 60hr a week job around her training; another truly inspiring age grouper. @b1kerunswim
