Racetime Events Offers Open Water Swim Sessions in Leicestershire

Racetime Events will be starting open water swim training from Saturday 2nd June at a new venue for the East Midlands. The lake at Six Hills (Six Hills Road, Six Hills, Leicestershire, LE14 3PR) is ideally situated for the Loughborough, Nottingham, Leicester, East Leake and Melton areas. The venue has good water quality, a clubhouse with changing/showering facilities and offering food/drinks, a qualified lifeguard on duty at all times, rescue craft on standby and even a hot tub! There will also be a range of wetsuits for sale which swimmers can trial in the water to ensure they get the correct suit before buying.

Sessions will be Saturday 0730-0930 (starting 2nd June) and Tuesday 1800-2000 (starting 12th June) with prices at £4 for adults and £2 for under 16’s.

Company Director Johnny Nicol said “Within a short space of time we have grown to be able to offer: triathlon races (both adult and junior); online coaching, which is proving popular; and now an open water training facility. We are really pleased with how the company is growing. We also started a Race Team this year and have just run a competition for our 4th member. We are pleased to announce that joining current members (Craig Twigg, Rich Sumpter and Richare Jeggo) is James Nutt; a very talented 17 year old from Leicestershire. The team, all based in the East Midlands, have already won three races along with a number of other podium finishes at this early point in the season.
