F3 Events and Maxifuel have great pleasure in announcing only the second ever Half Iron Distance Triathlon along the Thames Valley. Enter this event NOW before November 1st 2012 to receive the Early Bird Discounted Price.

With the massive success of the Marlow Olympic Distance & Sprint Distance triathlon in 2011 with nearly 700 entries, F3 Events has pleasure in announcing that entries are NOW OPEN for the 2012 event to be held on July 15th 2012.

Adding to the warm welcome and support from the Marlow Residents, Buckinghamshire council and participants requests and demands, we are also pleased to announce the first ever Marlow Half Iron Distance Triathlon, on June 24th with a 1.9km River Swim, 86km Bike & 20km Flat Run.

The River Thames at Marlow will be the swim location for the Maxifuel Half Iron distance event on 24th June 2012

The Thames Valley offers some of the best sporting terrain in the UK with Marlow and surrounding area being no exception.

The Swim takes place just above Marlow Bridge along the same calm stretch of river that David Walliams carried out a lot of river swim challenge training. The Bike course is fairly fast with an out and back course that follows the river up to Henley, where it then heads out towards Oxford and then back to Marlow. The Run is nearly completely flat with a four lap 5km loop that provides the best views for spectators to cheer on everyone taking part.

With the popularity of middle distance triathlon taking off around the world and most events selling out within weeks of being announced, this event will be only the second ever Half Iron Middle Distance Triathlon to be held along the Thames Valley and entries are expected to fill very fast.

The event will be limited initially to 500. All finishers will receive a nice memento for their efforts.
