Vanhoenacker Shatters Ironman World Record: Race Splits

The speculation on the day had been intense, and Marino Vanhoenacker didn’t fail to deliver. Vanhoenacker became the fastest Ironman of all time at Ironman Austria, shattering Luc Van Lierde’s previous Ironman best of 7:50:27. On his way to the World Record Vanhoenacker combined a 46:49 swim with a 4:15:25 bike and a 2:39:24 marathon to take the title in 7:45:58.
