The 11Global Triathlon Arrives In Villasimius

The first Olympic no-draft triathlon of the Global Eleven circuit will be held in Villasimius on June 4th this year.

The Sardinia Eleven competition, the second of the 5 stages in the series, will cover the standard distances: the 1,500 metre swim will consist of two triangular 750 metre laps at sea. This will be followed by a single lap of 40 km on no-draft bikes and a 10 km run consisting of two laps.

In addition to an individual race there will also be a team relay race open to men, women and mixed teams.

Leading athletes from around the world will be on the starting line at 3.00 p.m., including several big names such as Gaia Peron, Monica Cibin, Luke McKenzie of Australia, Nicolas Becker of France, Csaba Kuttor of Hungary, Alessandro Alessandri, Luca Facchinetti, Matteo Annovazzi, Gabriele Mazzetta, Stefano Paoli, Leonardo Simoncini, Luca Desideri, and Luca De Paolis
