If you’re looking to combine your racing with a picture-perfect holiday this year, then this may be the answer. The D-Day Iron-distance triathlon on the island of Mauritius certainly has the backdrop to lay claim to the title of the World’s most exotic triathlon.
With a 3.8km swim in a lagoon, a two-lap undulating cycle (there’s a 3.5km 8% hill thrown in for good measure) and a flat run that winds its way through woodland and meadows, it certainly sounds idyllic.
